The 27-year-old singer and rapper, known for hits like “Feel Good,” passed away suddenly last Tuesday, sending shockwaves through Nigeria’s vibrant Afrobeats music scene.

The circumstances surrounding MohBad’s death have remained shrouded in mystery, fueling widespread speculation and grief among his fans and fellow artists. “I’m mentally drained. I feel so sad that someone could be bullied to this point, and they take his life,” lamented Mama J, a fashion designer.

MohBad’s meteoric rise to fame began in 2019 when he was signed by the renowned record label of Naira Marley, a leading figure in Nigeria’s music scene. However, their partnership came to an end in 2022 due to disagreements, raising questions about the nature of their parting.

In the wake of the tragedy, online activists and fans have initiated an online petition with over 250,000 signatures, pointing fingers at MohBad’s team and calling for a thorough investigation into his death.
