Banjul Mayor Lowe, Turkish delegation partner for women, youth empowerment
In a promising development for Banjul and the wider Gambia, Mayor Malick Lowe met with a high-level Turkish delegation led by H.E. Mehmet Kemal Bozay, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, accompanied by H.E. Turker OBA, the Ambassador designated to the Gambia. The focus of their discussions centered on bolstering opportunities for women and youth in Banjul and across the nation.
The meeting, held at Mayor Lowe’s office, delved into collaborative strategies aimed at enhancing the empowerment of women and youth, aligning closely with the goals of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference theme, “Enhancing unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development.”
