Nigerian scientist ranked among world’s top 2% for research in plant biology
Nigerian scientist Dr. Bartholomew Adeleke has been ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally, according to the latest report by Elsevier and Stanford University, released in September 2024.
Specializing in Plant Biology and Botany, Dr. Adeleke was placed 192,742 globally and ranked 3,452 out of 174,582 scholars in his field.
Dr. Adeleke, a Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) alumnus, is currently a lecturer at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa.

His research focuses on soil-plant-microbe interactions to enhance agricultural productivity and soil health, addressing global food security challenges.
