Turkey receives global solidarity following Ankara attack
In a show of global solidarity, African nations joined Turkey in condemning a recent Ankara attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facility in Ankara, which left at least five people dead and 22 others injured. Leaders from Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo strongly condemned the “cowardly” attack, offering condolences and support to Turkey in its fight against terrorism.
Expressing his gratitude for the international support, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, “This despicable act only reinforces our commitment to eradicate terrorism in all its forms.” His remarks underscore Turkey’s resilience and determination to strengthen security amid threats.

Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traore, denounced the “heinous and brutal act,” sharing a message of unity with Turkey. He expressed his sympathy to the Turkish people, pledging support to President Erdogan and affirming a collective stand against terrorism.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo echoed this sentiment, reaffirming its commitment to global counter-terrorism efforts and expressing solidarity with Turkey.
