{"id":985,"date":"2022-10-12T11:59:48","date_gmt":"2022-10-12T11:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/africaparrot.com\/?p=985"},"modified":"2022-10-12T12:01:34","modified_gmt":"2022-10-12T12:01:34","slug":"opec-decision-purely-economic-foreign-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/africaparrot.com\/index.php\/2022\/10\/12\/opec-decision-purely-economic-foreign-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"OPEC+ decision purely economic \u2014 Foreign minister"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has defended the recent OPEC+ decision to cut oil production by two million barrels per day.<br><br>Speaking to\u00a0Al-Arabiya, Prince Faisal confirmed that Saudi Arabia ties with the United States are strategic and it supported the security and stability in the region.<br><br>The Saudi minister&#8217;s remarks came after the US administration officials indicated that Washington is thinking of reviewing its relationship with the Kingdom.<br><br>Prince Faisal said: \u201cOur relationship with the United States has been institutionalized since it was established.\u201d<br><br>He added that the Saudi-US military cooperation served the interests of both countries.<br><br>\u201cOPEC+ decision was purely economic and was taken unanimously by the group member states.\u201d<br><br>He said: \u201cOPEC+ members acted responsibly and took the appropriate decision.\u201d<br><br>On the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, he said: \u201cWe seek to push the parties to dialogue to stop the conflict.\u201d<br><br>Regarding the Yemen crisis, he explained that the efforts to extend the armistice in Yemen are still in place.<br><br>\u201cThe Yemeni government has shown great flexibility with high responsibility towards Yemen\u2019s interest.\u201d<br><br>Speaking on the relationship with Iran, he said: \u201cThe dialogue with Iran has not yet yielded tangible results, and we are looking at a sixth round of talks.\u201d<br><br>He pointed out that the relationship with China is economic and we have many joint economic projects.<br><br>The Saudi minister hoped that Iraq would overcome the political turmoil that is currently taking place.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"afric-content\" id=\"afric-1005195657\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schools.nyc.gov\/hello?utm_source=ecm-digital&#038;utm_medium=cpc&#038;utm_campaign=lac-dex-2026&#038;utm_content=french\" aria-label=\"French&#8212;300&#215;250\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/africaparrot.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/French-300x250-1.gif?fit=300%2C250&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"  class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has defended the recent OPEC+ decision to cut oil production by two million barrels per day.
