Curry’s 4th-uarter heroics propel warriors to victory

Stephen Curry showcased his scoring prowess with a stunning 37-point performance, including 16 crucial points in the fourth quarter.

The Golden State Warriors secured a much-needed 124-120 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, overcoming a late surge by their opponents.

Despite leading by as many as 18 points, the Warriors faced a formidable challenge from the Nets, who were driven by Cam Thomas’s impressive 41-point effort. However, Curry’s flawless seven-for-seven shooting in the final period and Klay Thompson’s timely three-pointers in the last four minutes sealed the Warriors’ triumph, putting an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory served as a morale booster for the Warriors, grappling with challenges both on and off the court.

The team is still adjusting to the indefinite suspension of star player Draymond Green, who recently faced consequences for an on-court incident.

“It’s been a lot of conversations, a lot of noise around us,” acknowledged Curry.

“The friendships and connections, especially with a guy like Draymond, all that stuff does weigh on you.”

In other NBA highlights, the reigning champion Denver Nuggets couldn’t fend off the Oklahoma City Thunder, succumbing to a 118-117 defeat on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s game-winning shot.

Meanwhile, in Sacramento, Keegan Murray’s phenomenal three-point display, draining 12 shots from beyond the arc, propelled the Kings to a convincing 125-104 victory over the Utah Jazz.

The night featured standout performances, including Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 127-109 win over the Indiana Pacers. Jimmy Butler’s clutch shot secured a 118-116 victory for the Miami Heat against the Chicago Bulls.

In Portland, Luka Doncic’s spectacular triple-double of 40 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists guided the Dallas Mavericks to a 131-120 win over the Trail Blazers.

Meanwhile, Eastern Conference powerhouses Milwaukee and Philadelphia dominated their matchups, with the Bucks trouncing the Detroit Pistons 146-114, and the 76ers achieving the largest margin of victory this season in a 135-82 rout of the Charlotte Hornets, fueled by Joel Embiid’s remarkable 42 points and 15 rebounds.
