Mayor Lowe lauds presentation of gifts to firstborn babies 2024

Mayor of Banjul, Malick Lowe, has expressed gratitude at the heartwarming presentation of gifts to the firstborn babies of 2024 at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital.

The gifts were orchestrated by The Fatou Bah Barrow (FaBB) Foundation.

The generous contributions in both cash and kind brought joy to the mothers of the first three newborns.

Mayor Lowe extended his heartfelt thanks to The FaBB Foundation, particularly acknowledging Her Excellency Fatou Bah Barrow, the First Lady, for her benevolent initiative.

She also recognized the significant support from partners such as the Q Group, represented by the dynamic Madam Jah, as well as the Karporwership and Talya Group.

The mayor expressed her deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the hospital’s staff and management, recognizing their pivotal role in ensuring the success of such initiatives.

The presence of the minister of health, the wife of the vice-president, and other dignitaries added to the significance of the occasion.

Highlighting the role of the midwives, Mayor Lowe conveyed her immense pride in their contribution to delivering the babies safely.

She extended heartfelt congratulations to the mothers of the newborns, concluding with a wish for the infants to be guided by Allah’s blessings.

“I thank the FaBB foundation through the First Lady Her Excellency Fatou Bah Barrow for the gesture and other partners namely the Q Group who was well represented by his dynamic wife Madam Jah, the Karporwership and Talya Group.

“I am grateful to the staff and management of the hospital and their efforts are much appreciated. In attendance was the minister of Health, wife of The Vice President and other dignitaries,” Mayor Lowe said.

She added, “I am super proud of the mid wives who help delivered the babies safely and a big congratulations to the mothers of the babies , May the babies be guided by Allah blessings. Ameen.”
