The high-profile gathering delved into the imperative of fostering collaboration between Central and Local Governments, transcending political affiliations for the greater good of the citizens.

President Barrow, a staunch advocate for inclusive development, underscored that while party politics may bring color differentiation, developmental progress does not discriminate.

As a testament to this commitment, he established a Ministry dedicated to amplifying the visibility and addressing the priorities of women’s concerns.

During the discussions, President Barrow received accolades from the visiting delegation for championing gender inclusivity in governance.

This international gathering witnessed a diverse representation, with members hailing from various parts of Africa, key partners from the UN system, and the esteemed presence of the French Consul in The Gambia. The convergence of these influential figures highlighted the shared commitment to advancing global governance strategies and prioritizing women’s issues on the international stage.

As President Barrow continues to champion a non-partisan approach to development, the collaborative efforts with the United Cities and Local Governments delegation signify a step forward in promoting inclusive policies that transcend political boundaries.
