In an exciting update for the Daylight Africa family and friends of Africa, the organization has announced an extension of its highly anticipated Daylight Africa Week 2024 trip to Senegambia. The trip, originally slated for eight days, will now span ten days, providing participants with an enriched experience.

The decision to extend the itinerary was driven by the visionary leadership of Daylight Africa, aiming to foster stronger ties between Africa and the United States. As part of this initiative, the organization will annually send a political delegation during Daylight Africa Week to the country chairing the African Union. Mauritania has been chosen as the inaugural recipient of this diplomatic mission.

Given Mauritania’s geographical proximity to Senegal, the organizers have seamlessly integrated it into the existing Senegambia Week. The extended itinerary will run from September 1st, the arrival date, through September 10th, marking the departure day. This strategic decision not only enhances the overall experience for participants but also underscores Daylight Africa’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relationships within the African continent.

The finalized Senegambia Week 2024 itinerary is as follows:

Mauritania: September 2nd and 3rd.
Senegal: September 4th, 5th, and 6th.
The Gambia: September 7th, 8th, and 9th.

For those eagerly waiting to secure their spots, the booking process is now open. It’s important to note that this change exclusively applies to the Senegambia Week, with no alterations to the schedules of other destinations within the Daylight Africa Week 2024.
