Gambia’s special task force cracks down on drug trafficking, arrests 3 Sierra Leoneans
The Gambia’s Crime Management Department, as part of Operation Fight Kush, apprehended three Sierra Leonean nationals on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
The suspects, comprising one woman and two men, were detained near Sukuta-Jabang traffic checkpoint with a significant haul of prohibited substances. The seizure included four kilograms of suspected Kush, with an estimated street value of D100,000.00, along with 595 pieces of suspected Ecstasy pills valued at approximately D178,500.00.
This arrest underscores the ongoing efforts of The Gambia Police Force (GPF) to combat drug-related crimes in collaboration with the Drug Law Enforcement Agency and other stakeholders.
