President Barrow, FCDO Director Kate Foster pledge to strengthen ties in development talks

His Excellency President Barrow of The Gambia welcomed Ms Kate Foster, the African Director for the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), to Banjul for discussions centering on bilateral relations and mutual interests.

The meeting underscored key areas of collaboration and shared goals between The Gambia and FCDO member states.

President Barrow and Ms Foster engaged in extensive talks covering various facets of development and cooperation.

Central to their dialogue were pivotal issues such as the Gambian government’s reform initiatives within the security sector, progress on the Truth, Reconciliation, and Reparations Commission (TRRC), ongoing constitutional reforms, advancements in higher education, trade enhancements, and initiatives addressing climate change.
