Banjul: Mayor Lowe advocates for women, youth empowerment
Mayor Malick Lowe of Banjul delivered a compelling address at the 5th Edition of the International Days of Macroeconomics and Finance Conference, held in Marrakech.
The event, organized by Bank Al-Maghrib, Cadi Ayyad University, and the University of Basel, in collaboration with the Dakhla Oued Eddahab Regional Council, attracted a diverse audience of academics, politicians, business leaders, and representatives from both the private and public sectors.
Expressing gratitude to the organizers for the invitation, Mayor Lowe highlighted the conference’s timely theme: “Economic Integration in Africa: The Path to a More Prosperous Future.”
The discussions centered on the challenges and opportunities associated with African economic integration.
In her contribution, Mayor Lowe focused on the critical need for the empowerment of women and youth, advocating for inclusivity and partnerships as essential components for Africa’s development.
She expressed appreciation for the support from academic participants who reinforced the significance of empowering women and youth to achieve a more prosperous and inclusive future for the continent.
