ECOWAS, EFCC strengthen ties to combat corruption in West Africa
Ambassador Abdel-Fatau Musah, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), recently hosted Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities between ECOWAS and the West African Network of National Anti-Corruption Institutions (NACIWA), of which the EFCC is a key member.
Both officials emphasized the importance of unified efforts to address and overcome regional challenges related to corruption and financial crimes.
This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing regional cooperation and strengthening the fight against corruption in West Africa.
