Gambia: IGP Touray hosts ex-security members
In a significant move to foster community and support for retired security personnel, Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray warmly received the executives of the Ex-serving Security Members Association at the police headquarters in Banjul.
The delegation, led by Chairman Samba Badjie and including notable members Momodou Kinteh, Isatou Njie Badjie, and Bai Madi Jammeh, visited to formally introduce their Association to the IGP. During the meeting, they presented the Association’s constitution and outlined their mission to create a supportive community for honorably retired officers.
IGP Touray expressed his admiration for their initiative and reiterated the importance of such an Association in maintaining the welfare and camaraderie of former security personnel. He pledged his full support to the Association’s goals and activities, recognizing the invaluable service its members have rendered to the nation.
This visit marks a step forward in strengthening the bonds between current and former security officers, ensuring that those who have dedicated their lives to public service continue to receive the recognition and support they deserve.
