Gambia: Blind husband seeks D8000 for anti-rabies vaccine after wife's bite during argument

A 24-year-old blind man is in urgent need of D8000 for an anti-rabies vaccine after being bitten on the arm by his wife during a heated argument.

This unusual and alarming situation was reported by What’s On Gambia on Wednesday.

According to a close friend of the husband, the couple, who have been married for just eight months, found themselves in a dispute that escalated to physical aggression.

The friend recounted the incident, stating, “During a fight, the wife bit him on his left deltoid muscle.”

The bite has raised concerns about the risk of rabies, prompting the husband to seek the necessary medical treatment, which he cannot afford without assistance. Notably, the report emphasizes that the wife does not share her husband’s visual impairment, as she is not blind.
