Gambia Police Force unveils new madrasa, day-care facility in Banjul

The Gambia Police Force, in partnership with Sutura Company, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Madrasa and Day-Care Facility at the Banjul Police Barracks.

This significant milestone was celebrated with a gathering of esteemed guests, including Hamat N.K. Bah, the Minister of Lands and Religious Affairs, and Ebrima Bah, Assistant Inspector General of Police Administration, representing Inspector General of Police, Seedy Mukhtar Touray.

Minister Bah took the opportunity to commend the project, noting its substantial benefits for police families in Banjul.

He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering community development and ensuring that the well-being of officers and their families is prioritized.

During the ceremony, AIG Ebrima Bah echoed these sentiments, highlighting the facility’s vital role in nurturing a supportive environment for the children of police personnel.

He stated, “This facility will empower our officers’ families and enhance their welfare, which is essential for the effective functioning of our police service.”

The Gambia Police Force’s commitment to collaborating with partners and stakeholders to uplift the welfare of its personnel reflects a broader vision of community enhancement and regional development.
