Nigeria strengthens education partnership with GPE in bilateral meeting
Nigeria is set to deepen its collaboration with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) following a bilateral meeting between Nigeria’s representative, Mr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Board Chairman of GPE and former Tanzanian President, and Mrs. Laura Frigenti, CEO of the GPE Secretariat.
The meeting, held today, centred on bolstering efforts to revitalise Nigeria’s education sector. iscussions prioritised improving girls’ education, addressing the challenge of out-of-school children, and enhancing teacher capacity.

The leaders also explored strategies to boost regional funding for education, with Nigeria poised to take a leading role in setting the pace for West Africa’s educational development.
