Team Nigeria Bags Six Medals at African Military Boxing Championship in Morocco

Team Nigeria has concluded its campaign at the 6th African Military Boxing Championship held in Rabat, Morocco, with an impressive haul of six medals—two silver and four bronze.
Representing various branches of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the medalists include Rilwan Lawal (60KG) and Gbadamosi Quadri (69KG), both from the Nigerian Army, who won silver medals.
Bronze medals were claimed by Akeem Adebamiji (49KG, Nigerian Navy), Balogun Emmanuel Adeola (81KG, Nigerian Air Force), Ambrose Godwin (-91KG, Nigerian Army), and Samson Kazeem (+91KG, Nigerian Army).
The team was coached by Aweda Kehinde, a former Olympian who competed at the Atlanta 1996 Games and now serves as the boxing coach for the Nigerian Army.
“Congratulations, champions!” read a celebratory note shared by supporters, applauding the team’s performance at the continental event.
