Miami Dolphins seal playoffs with Sanders’ last-second heroics

The Miami Dolphins secured their spot in the NFL playoffs with a thrilling 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Jason Sanders emerged as the hero with a last-second field goal, capping off a gritty performance that pushed both teams to their limits.

The victory makes Miami the second AFC team to secure a playoff berth after the Baltimore Ravens.

The Detroit Lions clinched their first division title since 1993, asserting their dominance in the NFC North with a hard-fought 30-24 triumph over the Minnesota Vikings.

Jahmyr Gibbs’ two rushing touchdowns set the tone, but the Lions sealed the deal with just 49 seconds remaining when Ifeatu Melifonwu intercepted a crucial pass from Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens.

Fresh from their Monday night victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Seattle Seahawks continued their playoff push with a 20-17 win against the Tennessee Titans. Colby Parkinson’s incredible catch from a 5-yard pass by Geno Smith secured the victory, further boosting the Seahawks’ chances in the competitive NFC playoff race.

Quarterback Joe Flacco showcased his late-career resurgence, guiding the Cleveland Browns to their third straight win with a commanding 36-22 victory over the Houston Texans.

Flacco, who has become a linchpin for the Browns after an unexpected return to the league, threw for three touchdowns and 368 yards.

His favored target, receiver Amari Cooper, had a stellar performance with two touchdowns and a franchise-record 265 receiving yards.

The Indianapolis Colts’ postseason hopes took a hit with a 29-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Recalled quarterback Taylor Heinicke orchestrated a solid performance, throwing for 229 yards and a touchdown, keeping the Falcons’ playoff dreams alive. On the other hand, the Jacksonville Jaguars faced their fourth straight loss, diminishing their playoff prospects with a 30-12 defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
