Gambia Police Force partners with German Support Team to empower PIU officers through groundbreaking training program

In a significant step towards enhancing the capabilities of the Police Intervention Unit (PIU), the Gambia Police Force, in conjunction with The German Police Support Team (GPST), successfully concluded the first phase of the Training of Trainers (TOT) program on Friday, February 16th, 2024.

Held at the prestigious NaNA Conference Hall, the comprehensive training program aimed to empower a select group of officers with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead training activities within the PIU. This milestone underscores a collaborative effort to bolster the effectiveness and professionalism of the Gambia Police Force.

Adeline Basangeh, during the closing ceremony, expressed heartfelt gratitude to The GPST for their invaluable support throughout the training process. He commended the dedication of the officers and urged them to embrace their forthcoming responsibilities with diligence and a sense of duty.
