REFELA launches nation-wide tour in Ndugukebbeh, empowers women, youth across Gambia
REFELA, the local elected women’s network of Africa, has commenced its nation-wide tour in Ndugukebbeh, North Bank.
The primary objective of this tour is to enlighten and create awareness among women and youths regarding REFELA’s vision, mission, and its thematic agendas, focusing on economic empowerment of women, zero tolerance for children on the streets, combatting gender-based violence, and enhancing the political empowerment of women.
This remarkable initiative aligns seamlessly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the City of Banjul 2024 strategic plan, and The Gambia’s National Development plan, showcasing a concerted effort to address critical societal issues.
Under the leadership of the REFELA National executive, the organization expressed gratitude to all attendees and contributors to the event in Ndugukebbeh.
Emphasizing the importance of community support, the executive underscored the vital role each individual plays in the success of these initiatives.
