Banjul: Mayor Lowe forges new ties in Morocco, paves way for economic integration

The Mayor of Banjul, Malick Lowe, has returned from a productive trip to Dakhla, Morocco, where she participated in the 5th Edition of the International Days of Macroeconomics and Finance conference.

The conference aimed to shape the future of economic integration in Africa.


During her visit, Mayor Lowe met with several key figures, including His Excellency Khatat Yanja, President of the Region of Dakhla Oued Eddahab, and the two Governors from the different sides of the Region, His Excellency Ali Khalil and His Excellency Abderrahman Eljwahri.

She also met with the mayors of the two cities in Dakhla, His worship Erraghab Hormat lah and His worship Fkir Khatat.

The meetings resulted in a joint project to make the ongoing youth volunteerism initiative a success, with plans to partner the City of Banjul with both cities.

Mayor Lowe expressed her gratitude to the Gambia Consular General in the Region of Dakhla, His Excellency Momodou Badgie, and his team for their efforts in accompanying her to all the appointments.

This diplomatic visit marks a significant step towards strengthening economic ties and promoting youth development between Banjul and Dakhla.
