HWPL urges international action for peace amid Israel-Iran escalation

Amid escalating tensions and violent conflict between Israel and Iran, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), a United Nations-affiliated organization, has issued a fervent call for peace. This plea comes in response to the recent hostilities that have drawn significant concern from the global community.

In a strongly worded statement, HWPL expressed deep concern over the conflict, emphasizing the devastating impact on innocent civilians.

“The recent violent conflict between Iran and Israel is causing significant concerns in the international community. The two nations that do not share borders are mobilizing high-end weaponry to attack each other and kill human lives,” the statement read.

Highlighting the human cost of the conflict, HWPL noted, “It is a clear indication that the greatest victims of war are innocent civilians. How could those lost lives ever be brought back? What could compensate for the outcry of children and the anguish of the youth in devastated dwellings?”

HWPL has called on the international community to take decisive measures to address the conflict, advocating for the establishment of comprehensive international laws aimed at safeguarding peace for future generations.

The current conflict saw a significant escalation on April 13, when Iran and its militant partners launched a large-scale attack against Israel, deploying several hundred ballistic missiles and drones. This unprecedented attack was reportedly in response to an April 1 airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which resulted in the deaths of seven military advisers, including three senior commanders.

In reaction to these events, 48 states, including the United States, Australia, Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Micronesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of Korea, Romania, and Ukraine, issued a joint statement on April 18 condemning Iran’s attack on Israel.

“HWPL remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering dialogue and reconciliation, offering hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict between Israel and Iran,” an HWPL official stated.
