A gas explosion at a station on Desai Road in Ngara early Sunday, September 1, has caused widespread fear.
The incident is believed to have been caused by a transformer malfunction. Footage shared on social media showed massive flames erupting from the station.
Nairobi police chief Adamson Bungei confirmed that the fire has been brought under control and no casualties have been reported. Authorities are hurrying to investigate the exact cause of the explosion.
