Nigeria Customs intercepts stolen Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, other luxury cars, returns them to Canada
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has successfully intercepted 21 stolen luxury vehicles, including high-end models like Rolls Royce and Lamborghini, valued at several billions of naira. These vehicles, reportedly stolen from Canada, were recovered in operations conducted in Lagos and Rivers State.
Among the seized vehicles are three 2021 Toyota Highlanders, a Lamborghini Huracan, a Mercedes-AMG GT, a Mercedes-Benz G550, a Rolls Royce, two Range Rovers (2023 and 2018 models), and other exotic cars.
Addressing journalists, the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, revealed that the vehicles were intercepted at locations including Lekki, Tin-Can Island Port, and Onne Port.

“Over the past several months, we have intensified our operations against vehicle trafficking syndicates operating within our borders,” Adeniyi said. He further noted that, according to INTERPOL, West Africa has become a hub for stolen vehicles in a global network spanning continents such as Europe, North America, South America, and Australia.
The seized vehicles were formally handed over to Canadian officials, reinforcing the NCS’s commitment to international collaboration in combating vehicle trafficking and organized crime.
