Gambia gears up for historic OIC Banjul summit
In an unprecedented move underscoring The Gambia’s growing international stature, H.E President Adama Barrow held a press briefing today to outline the nation’s meticulous preparations for the upcoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Banjul Summit, slated for May 4th-5th, 2024.
Speaking from Banjul, President Barrow exuded confidence in The Gambia’s readiness to host this landmark event, emphasizing its significance as a historic milestone for the country.
“Small countries can host big events, and this is the first time in the history of The Gambia that such an event is being hosted,” remarked President Barrow, underscoring the magnitude of the occasion.
