Mayor of Banjul celebrates progress on Crab Island, unveils new football pitch
Mayor of Banjul, Malick Lowe, has shared exciting updates about the city’s development.
His Worship Mayor Medina José Lobato, along with his team, visited Crab Island, where they observed the youth skill development areas and the positive impact of the city’s digitalized revenue systems.
The digital transformation has significantly bolstered Banjul’s resources, paving the way for increased investments in development projects benefiting residents.
A major highlight was the laying of the foundation stone for Banjul’s first-ever six-a-side football pitch.
This project, sponsored by Modou Lamin B. Bah of Banjul North through his Constituency Development Fund, is a collaborative effort with the Banjul City Council.
Mayor Lowe expressed her gratitude to the Councillors, City Council management, and Honorable Bah for their contributions to this initiative.
