ECOWAS, EU strengthen ties in high-level diplomatic meeting
In a significant move to fortify international cooperation, H.E. Mrs. Damtien L. Tchintchibidja, Vice-President of the ECOWAS Commission, hosted a high-level delegation of European Union ambassadors. The delegation was led by H.E. Mrs. Samuela Isopi, EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, and included Mr. Richard Young, Head of the EU’s West Africa Division in Brussels.
The discussions, attended by key officials such as Ambassador Abdel-Fatau Musah, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, and Mr. Abdou Kolley, Director of Cabinet of the ECOWAS President, centered on enhancing partnerships across multiple domains.
Both parties expressed a strong commitment to collaborate on addressing regional and global challenges, particularly in the realms of peace, stability, and prosperity.
