Malian President Assimi GOÏTA deepens ties with Burkina Faso
The President of the Republic of Mali, Colonel Assimi GOÏTA, has arrived in Ouagadougou for his first official friendship and working visit to Burkina Faso.
Scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, this landmark visit aimed at deepening ties between the two neighboring countries.
President GOÏTA’s visit comes at a critical time as Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger face ongoing challenges from terrorist activities. The Malian leader will meet with the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, to discuss their robust cooperative relationship and strategies to enhance their joint efforts in the fight against terrorism.
The two heads of state will focus on socio-economic development and the pursuit of complete sovereignty for their nations. As members of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger are committed to pooling their resources and energies to secure their territories and ensure regional stability.
This meeting aims to further strengthen the AES, fostering greater unity and collaboration among the member countries.
By reinforcing their alliance, the leaders hope to bring peace and prosperity to the people of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, demonstrating their shared commitment to overcoming common threats and achieving long-term development goals.
