Gambians Praise Mayor Malick-Lowe’s Pavement Clearance Initiative

The Mayor of Banjul, Rohey Malick-Lowe, has embarked on a proactive initiative to clear pavements across the city, urging residents to remove their vehicles from sidewalks and roadside areas to enhance mobility and safety.
In a public statement addressed to Banjulians, the mayor said, “Fellow Banjulians, the clearing of pavements exercise is ongoing. Please endeavor to move your car from the pavements and on the roadside. We thank you for your cooperation.”
This announcement has drawn widespread support and positive reactions from citizens who appreciate the efforts to restore order and cleanliness in the city.
Mustapha Conteh, a resident, expressed his admiration, commenting, “This is why we all love you. I hope the government will support you in this exercise.”
Another citizen, Baaba Dembo Colley, highlighted the broader impact of the initiative, stating, “Great initiative by the council to restore order and ensure our pavements are clear and accessible.
