UCAD’s Prof Mamadou Dramé Elected FIPF Vice-President for Africa and Indian Ocean

Professor Mamadou Dramé, an assessor at the Faculty of Education and Training (FASTEF), Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD), Dakar, has been elected Vice-President of the Africa and Indian Ocean Commission of the International Federation of French Teachers (FIPF).

His election took place during the 16th FIPF World Congress, currently ongoing in Besançon, France. The appointment marks a significant recognition of both Prof. Dramé’s individual contributions to French language education and the role of UCAD in the global francophone academic community.

The Fédération Internationale des Professeurs de Français (FIPF) is a global organization that brings together over 200 local and national associations of French teachers, representing more than 80,000 educators across more than 120 countries on five continents. It serves as a major advocate and support structure for the promotion of the French language and francophone cultures worldwide.

Prof. Dramé’s new position underscores UCAD’s growing influence and prestige within international academic circles, particularly in the domain of language education.
