KAIPTC Ghana wraps up groundbreaking criminal justice executive course, empowering Gambian security forces

The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC) in Ghana marked a significant milestone as it successfully concluded a weeklong ‘Criminal Justice Executive Course’ at Paradise Suites Hotel on November 24, 2023.
Assistant Inspector General of Police Operation Ebrima Bah, representing The Inspector General of Police Abdoulie Sanyang, took the helm during the closing ceremony, emphasizing the crucial role of enhanced analytical skills in justice administration and crime prevention.
The course, meticulously designed, aimed to equip participants with the analytical acumen necessary for effective justice administration and the prevention of criminal activities.
With a focus on strategic insights, the training fostered a comprehensive understanding of modern challenges faced by law enforcement agencies.
A notable assembly of over seventy senior officers from The Gambia Police Force and sister services, including The Gambia Immigration Department (GID), State Intelligence Service (SIS), Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG), The Gambia Prison Service (GPS), and The Gambia Armed Force (GAF), actively engaged in the intensive program. The diverse participation underscored a collaborative effort to strengthen the overall security apparatus in The Gambia.
In recognition of their commitment and successful completion of the course, each participant was awarded a certificate, symbolising the acquisition of advanced skills and knowledge vital for the evolving landscape of criminal justice.
The KAIPTC’s dedication to fostering regional collaboration and enhancing the capabilities of security forces was evident throughout the weeklong event.
