GPF joins KOTU SNR Secondary School to Commemorate Human Rights Day

The Gambia Police Force joined Human Rights Club of Kotu Senior Secondary School to celebrate Human Rights Day.

The theme for this year’s commemoration was ‘Dignityy, Freedom, and Justice for All”.


The Deputy Public Relations Officer of The Gambia Police Force Muhammed Y. Darboe, represented The Inspector General of Police Abdoulie Sanyang ESQ at the event.

Cadet Y. Darboe had a frank discussion with the audience on ways in which there can be a joint effort in respecting, promoting, protecting, and ensuring human dignity, freedom, and justice for all.

“We wish to thank the organizers for also using the occasion to recognize and award the DPRO a Certificate of Appreciation for training members of Kotu Senior Secondary School Human Rights Club on ‘Leadership and Peace Building’ two weeks ago,” he said.

He continued, “The Gambia Police Force shall continue to champion the cause of strengthening community engagement and fostering positive relationships between the police and the community.”
