DG Ceesay engages with Gambia police to strengthen security
Mr. Demba Ceesay, the newly appointed Director General of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG), has continued his familiarization tour with a key engagement at the Gambia Police Force (GPF).
Meeting with Inspector General of Police Seedy Muhtarr Touray and his senior management team, DG Ceesay emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in tackling pressing security challenges faced by the nation.
The discussions primarily focused on reinforcing cooperative efforts that ensure peace and stability in The Gambia.
Both leaders underscored their commitment to sharing vital information and intelligence, as well as implementing joint training and operations aimed at combatting the illicit trafficking and dealing in drugs, as well as other transnational organized crimes.
This collaborative approach is seen as crucial for disrupting criminal networks and ensuring a safer environment for all Gambians.
During the meeting, DG Ceesay expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation by the IGP and his team. He also took the opportunity to congratulate Inspector General Touray on his recent appointment, wishing him success in his vital role.
