Unexploded missiles in Gaza pose safety concerns as agencies work to address the issue
In central Gaza, residents of Deir al-Balah have raised concerns about unexploded missiles scattered around densely populated areas, particularly near shelters housing displaced families. Despite the growing anxiety, there is ongoing collaboration between local communities and international agencies like the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), which has been conducting awareness campaigns to educate residents on the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance.
Efforts to address the situation are progressing, although the removal of such hazardous materials, estimated to take over a decade, remains a challenge.
