British Prime Minister set to visit Saudi Arabia to strengthen ties

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia next month as part of his government’s efforts to bolster economic ties and foster international partnerships. The trip, aimed at securing critical investment for the UK’s green and nuclear energy initiatives, also highlights Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in Middle East peace efforts.

Starmer’s agenda includes discussions on regional stability, with a focus on achieving a sustainable peace in Gaza. The UK views Saudi Arabia as a key ally in addressing pressing global challenges, including security and economic development.

The visit also presents an opportunity to address human rights concerns, with Starmer’s background in human rights law positioning him to advocate for constructive dialogue on the kingdom’s domestic policies and its role in the Yemen conflict.
