Senegal, Russia forge stronger ties in pursuit of Sahel stability, global peace
In a powerful step toward reinforcing international alliances, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye shared details of his “very rich and cordial” conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The two leaders discussed their longstanding, friendly cooperation and explored new avenues to strengthen the bilateral partnership.
“We conducted a comprehensive review of the long and traditional cooperation of friendship between our two countries,” Faye remarked, emphasizing a shared commitment to peace and stability, particularly in the Sahel and the ECOWAS region.
Both presidents agreed on the importance of uniting their efforts with the global community to address pressing world challenges.
