Zambia Airways inaugurates twice-weekly flights connecting Lusaka with Dar es Salaam, Nairobi

In a move set to transform regional connectivity and bolster diplomatic ties, Zambia Airways has officially launched its twice-weekly flight service connecting Lusaka with Dar es Salaam and Nairobi. This strategic expansion was celebrated in a grand ceremony attended by distinguished guests and key stakeholders in the aviation industry.

Hon. Gary Nkombo, Acting Minister of Transport and Logistics and the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, hailed the launch as a landmark event in Zambia’s aviation history. “Today marks a significant milestone for Zambia Airways and our nation as a whole,” he remarked. “The introduction of these new routes underscores our commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and fostering strong bilateral relations with our neighboring countries.”


The inclusion of the Lusaka-Dar es Salaam route, serviced by the state-of-the-art Boeing 737-700, is a testament to Zambia Airways’ strategic vision. This initiative not only expands the airline’s network but also reinforces the longstanding friendly relations between Zambia and Tanzania.
