GFFW: Police FC break record, defeat GAF in first division

Police FC have broken record after defeating GFA in the first division.

The Police FC opened their account with a resounding victory against a very solid GAF side.


The Gambia Football Federation’s Women’s First Division league kicked off on Saturday February 25, 2023.

According to a report on Saturday, the Police FC ladies’s goals from Catherine Jatta and Fatoumatta Mook earned the team a resounding victory.

These two goals from Catherine Jatta and Fatoumatta Mook were enough to secure the all-important three points for the Police team in the Security derby at the Bakau mini-stadium, the report says.

Police FC coach, Mariama BOM Sowe was really happy as charges are boosted by this win in their quest to reclaim the title from perennial champions Red Scorpion who have equally kickstarted the defense of their title with a narrow one-nil win over neighbors Abuko United.

Presently, Police FC awaits it next game against Red Scorpions, on Sunday at Banjul Mini-stadium.

Police FC looks forward to build on their impressive opening performance by securing victory in the upcoming games.
