Presidential team, NITDA chart path for Nigeria’s tech future

In a significant move to enhance digital literacy and inclusivity, the Presidential Community Engagement Team met with the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Kashifu Abdullahi Inuwa, on May 16, 2024. The meeting aimed to outline a strategic roadmap to promote digital inclusion across Nigerian communities.

Led by Moremi Ojudu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in the South West, the team emphasized that these initiatives are part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. The discussions centered on several key areas, including boosting digital literacy among youths, cultivating talent in information technology, and enhancing women’s participation in capacity-building and skills development programs.


Mr. Inuwa reiterated NITDA’s commitment to collaborating with the Presidential Community Engagement Team to advance these initiatives. He emphasized the agency’s dedication to ensuring equal access to digital opportunities for all Nigerians.

The meeting highlighted the critical role of collaboration between government agencies and community stakeholders in driving the nation towards a more digitally inclusive future.
