Nigeria Police Force hosts youth summit to IYD

The Nigeria Police Force is set to host the Nigeria Police Youth Summit on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Nigeria Police Resource Center in Jabi, Abuja.

This event commemorates the 2024 International Youth Day and emphasizes the crucial role that youth play in shaping the nation’s future and enhancing national security.


Themed “Enhancing Nigerian Youth Value for National Security Intelligence,” the summit will feature dynamic discussions focused on youth empowerment, national security, and intelligence.

Attendees can expect engaging interactive sessions that will cover essential topics such as crime prevention, conflict resolution, and effective use of social media in community engagement. Moreover, the summit aims to highlight innovative solutions proposed by young Nigerians to address the country’s multifaceted challenges.

Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM., underscored the significance of the summit in promoting national security and intelligence through youth engagement.

He emphasized the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to inclusivity and collaboration across all sectors, a vision that is critical for effective policing in Nigeria.
