KAMPALA — Uganda has received commendation from the United Nations for its significant strides in producing data essential for tracking and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The recognition highlights Uganda’s efforts in fostering a coordinated approach to data and statistics, a move deemed critical in optimizing development financing and accelerating progress toward the SDGs.
Statistics House in Kampala has been at the forefront of this initiative, driving efforts to enhance data quality and availability for informed decision-making. According to experts, the integration of robust data systems not only supports policy formulation but also ensures accountability in development processes.
This program is set to play a pivotal role in mobilizing resources, streamlining development strategies, and addressing key challenges, enabling Uganda to achieve sustainable growth and development.
